What are the main components of the powerWatch Edge solution?

The main components include hardware, site validation, and an annual subscription.

What is the estimated first year cost?

$7,085 (includes powerWatch Edge, 1-year subscription, and activation fee) plus the cost of site validation.

What is the cost of the service after the first year?

$2,100 per year (paid annually for the year ahead). This is the subscription cost cost required for connectivity. Costs are subjected to an annual increase per agreements in place with the utility.

Can I purchase powerWatch products directly from the website?

No. Once the site validation process is complete and your site is confirmed as eligible, you can purchase the hardware and subscribe to the powerWatch Edge. We will send you an invoice with the items required for your site.

Can I cancel the service?

The initial 12-month subscription begins when the powerWatch Edge is shipped. Notify us 60 days before current subscription expires and we will stop the renewal.  The subscription will automatically renew 30 days before the end of the current subscription.

The site ownership changed. How can I transfer the service?

Submit a Support request and we will update with the new site contact.

Why is the site validation service required?

The site validation process is essential to ensure that powerWatch Edge is deployed in an optimal location where it can communicate as designed. During the site validation, a technician visits the site to perform various tests and checks, including testing the cellular signal using calibrated equipment and analyzing the site conditions, such as foliage and pole locations. The site validation helps to identify any potential issues that may affect the performance of the equipment and allows for corrective measures to be taken to ensure proper functionality. Overall, the site validation process is crucial to ensure that the product meets the customer's needs and performs as expected.

What is the cost of the site validation service?

Site validation is billed on an hourly basis door-to-door. The cost is $98 per hour.

What happens after the site validation is complete?

After the site validation is complete, a detailed report will be sent by email. The report will indicate if the site is eligible for powerWatch Edge.

How is the solution monitored?

The powerWatch system offers 24/7 monitoring and sends notifications in the event of an outage. Customers receive outage notifications within one hour of the outage start, with additional updates provided if the issue is related to the cellular network. Weekly reports are also sent, providing metrics and insights on the solution's efficiency.

What happens if any component of the solution fails?

In case of a failure in the cellular router, power supply, enclosure, or antenna, we have a replacement process in place. The support team is contacted, and a replacement component is promptly shipped to the customer. The faulty component is then returned to us for evaluation.
